When you wake up feeling at 100% capacity, life feels effortless. Conversations are flowing, tasks are being completed, there’s no queue at the supermarket, it’s all going great.

But what happens when we start the day at 50% capacity? We struggle.

And we struggle not because we’re at 50% capacity, but because we tend to compare our productivity, energy or strength with the days when we were at 100% capacity.

When you do a big workout and your muscles are sore the day after, you don’t go attempting to do another big workout.

Recovery is part of the process.

The ups and downs, the ebbs and flows, are to be expected.

The best thing you can do when you’re operating at a decreased capacity is to get your groove on, so that you can appreciate the present moment and allow your mind & body to get the recovery they need.

How do you get your groove on? It could be with music, dancing, laughing, cooking, time spent in nature, or simply getting some extra sleep.
