Bad news have a lot to do with expectations. When we label something as “bad”, it often means that it didn’t or doesn’t meet our expectations.
To deliver bad news is not the same thing as to let down, betray or hurt people. It is to choose to speak the truth, even if you know it won’t meet the expectations of others.
Delivering bad news teaches us about the importance of being true to ourselves.
Learning to honour our feelings and thoughts is essential for our well-being. And sometimes that means learning not to sacrifice our happiness in order to avoid disappointing others.
