There’s a saying that if you can’t spot the fool, then you’re probably the one others view as a fool.

In the dictionary “a fool’s game” is defined as “an endeavor or activity that is a futile waste of one's time, energy, or resources.”

There’s also the saying “fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”, which translates as learning from one’s mistakes and avoiding people who play with one’s intellect or emotions in a harmful or wasteful way.

But here’s the thing…

Nothing’s ever wasted in life, only transmuted into something new. Energy can neither be created, nor lost – it simply transforms from one form into another.

And spiritually speaking, the fool’s journey is a metaphor for our journey through life.

So is the Fool someone who’s gotten really good at playing the game of life, or is the Fool someone who cannot even understand the rules of the game?!
