Have you ever been stuck in a repetitive loop of negative affirmations that ultimately stopped you from doing something or becoming someone?
These can be about our physical appearance or mental state:
“I’m short”
“I’m shy”
“I’m weak”
“I’m fat”
“I’m ugly”
“I’m alone”
“I’m inexperienced”
“I’m old”
“I’m broken”
“I’m not enough”
“I’m too much”
The stories you tell yourself can either uplift you, or bring you down.
Your mind can easily become a prison if you’re only narrating stories of limiting beliefs.
This and that can be true, too. Meaning not everything is black and/or white.
For example, you can be weak mentally but strong physically, or vice versa.
Or you can be shy with the people who don’t get your soul, but the bubbliest version of yourself with those who “get” you (those you feel comfortable being yourself around).
We tend to be our biggest critic.
But here’s the beautiful thing. When we become our biggest cheerleader, we also let go of judgment for others (gossip, jealousy, envy, negative bias, etc).
Loving yourself is a win-win situation!
