Food is a universal love language.

It doesn’t matter if you’re having sushi, tacos, pizza, burger, hot dog, or a refreshing fruit salad, food brings happiness. Not only because it satisfies a physical need, but because it triggers something encoded deep within us that makes us appreciate life on a whole another level.

That’s why we enjoy the anticipation almost as much as the meal itself (especially when we know what the reward is going to be).

Food has the power to transport us back in time too.

Yes, I’m talking about our comfort foods!

Through the power of imagination we can re-live our best memories and create new ones that mimic the originals by infusing them with the same emotions.

But what do you think is the most important ingredient to truly experiencing food?

Being present!

There’s a bigger reason behind asking each other “What food do you feel like eating today?” when we try to pick what to have for lunch or dinner – we are inviting our senses to show us the way to our happiness.

It’s a two-way communication when it comes to our mind and body, we just need to learn how to listen to our intuition, so that we can translate the internal cues that are continually feeding us information about our needs.

So if you had your own restaurant, what food would you serve?

Would you share your favourite meals with others? Or perhaps bring different cuisines in the local community, so that you can explore them together?

Would you focus on the whole experience, or entirely on the taste?

How would you like people to describe your restaurant?

What kind of emotions would you like to evoke in others as they connect with what you’ve created?

Use this as the starting point to understand what it is that you want to offer to the world and the people around you. You don’t need to have a restaurant to share your joy, passion and love with others. But knowing what kind of restaurant you’d like to create might give you an idea as to who you are today (thanks to all the experiences you’ve been through and all the goals you wish to complete next).

Just like brands, every human has their unique selling points. Mapping out what your imaginary restaurant looks like might be what you need to discover yours!

In case you missed it…

🍹 You get to create your own cocktail, what’s in the recipe?
