My mentor recently asked me “What if you skip a day? How would that make you feel?”.

I immediately thought to myself, “No. I can’t do that. If I’m serious about it, I can’t skip a day.”

But I did skip a day. I lost my streak. And guess what happened?

My progress wasn’t lost. And the day that I “skipped” wasn’t wasted. It was instead filled with different experiences, emotions, thoughts, ideas, insights, and inspiration.

Being organised, consistent and persistent with your efforts matters. But ultimately your success is not entirely based on your performance. It is, however, 100% connected to who you are as a person.

Being and doing are two separate things that are interconnected. When we shift our focus from doing to being, we create more consciously in every aspect of our life.

When we try to control everything, sooner or later we realise that it is not sustainable and it might be what’s blocking us from growth (since we are continuously changing and evolving).

Growth is about making the intention of making the most of every day. Allowing each day to show us what can happen, instead of diving into it with a fixed mindset, is a great way to invite new opportunities and connections.

If the thought of skipping a day makes you feel uneasy too, try it.

When we fear something, it has a power over us. The goal is to not only trust the process, but to fall in love with it. When you’re in love, there’s no room for fear – only love.
