Life doesn’t always go according to our plan(s).
Often in the process of envisioning one scenario, life will introduce so many plot twists and new characters that we might find ourselves living in a completely different genre altogether!
When this happens, we tend to cling to the original “vision” that we had in mind, which probably looks different to our current reality.
When expectations don’t match the reality we experience, we collect regrets like old friends – because we got too attached to the vision, even though the purpose of that vision was mainly to keep us motivated and moving forward.
When you face a life regret, ask yourself this one question – can I do something about it?
If yes, go and do something about it. Change your strategy, ask uncomfortable questions, speak your truth and be ready to go out of your comfort zone.
If no, accept that it was part of your growth and it has taken you to exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Letting go of expectations and regrets gives you space for appreciation. When you can enjoy the present moment, you can bring your best self into it!
