Music helps us get “in the zone”, whatever the task at hand might be.
But on some occasions what’s on your playlist can work against you.
If you’re trying to come up with a new idea, your favourite playlist might not be the best option. Instead pick a random playlist and allow it to change the frequency of your thinking!
If you’re running low on energy and you’re listening to a very calming playlist, find one that’s upbeat and energising – maybe even shake off the old energy with a little dance in your living room.
Every day’s different. What worked yesterday is not necessarily what’s going to help you get the job done today and that is precisely what makes life a series of adventures. It all comes down to the right mindset (and the right playlist!).
