A talent is something encoded in your genes. Itβs up to you to develop a talent by dedicating time and energy for practice.
And the best part is that a talent doesnβt go away if you donβt pay attention to it β it just doesnβt get better over time and youβre not able to use it as part of the identity that you articulate to others.
In other words, thereβs no time limit to βunlockingβ the talents that are within you in the sense that today is a day as good as any other day to start a new habit or pick up a new hobby that sparks an interest in you.
But thereβs a time limit, so to speak β we all have limited time on Earth, so the longer you wait to do, say or start something that you really, really want to, the more youβre working against your talents and against yourself, and why would you want to do that?!
If fear is your answer, replace it with joy!
The antidote to fear is joy β the excitement of doing something thatβs 100% extraordinary to you, even when it gets challenging.
