Angels appear innocent. Babies are innocent. The person who was wrongly accused of murder is proven innocent.
What about the average human?
Are we innocent if we carry our guilt with us wherever we go? Are we guilty if we don’t believe in our innocence?
What does innocence mean to you? Is it lost once we grow up, or do we have an option to remain in our innocence regardless of our age?
Innocence is not just about the lack of guilt. It’s also about the lack of corruption, and corruption (of one’s heart, mind or morals) is often the prerequisite for guilt. We all make mistakes, it’s up to us to recover from them and not allow them to define us.
