Board games have the power to connect people (as they cooperate to win the round) or to divide people (should they be on the losing team). But they are a great way to take a break from serious, complicated thinking and come back to the present moment!

Equally important, board games are a great way to take a break from mindless social media scrolling – or any other form of mindless procrastination – and invest in some meaningful bonding with friends and family members.

Now the question is if your life was a board game, what would it look like?

Will it be a spy mystery? A trivia-based memoir? Or a fantasy exploration?

Will it have rewards or consequences? Is there a single winner or multiple players get to have recognition? Who gets to narrate the story? Do you roll a dice or draw cards? Will there be mental or physical tasks to complete?!

Remember – you are in charge of creating the rules for your game (and for your life).

Let’s start simple. How would you name your game?

In other words, if you had to pick a name to describe your life so far, what would you pick?

I think mine would be “The Big, Bold Philosophical Quest to Joydom”.
