Letters are a form of communication that not many practice today. Much like journaling, letters help you express strong feelings and thoughts that are stored deep within you.
Messaging apps today can convey a thousand words in seconds, but letters carry a depth that speaks directly to the soul.
A letter always has a recipient, but a letter doesn’t always need to be sent in order for the message to be understood. Why? Sometimes writing down our thoughts is more about gaining personal clarity than communicating it to the outer world.
Here are a couple of examples you can try:
A “Thank you” letter to your younger self
A letter of appreciation to a friend
A “We got this” letter for your future self (for the challenging days)
A love letter to your partner
A “Thank you for everything” letter to your parents
How do you begin a letter? Just like an email!
