We enter the world screaming. Loud. Demanding. Precious.
Earth seems scary at first, and then comes the loving embrace of our parents. As soon as we feel safe, our heartbeat slows down and we rest, ready to explore the unknown.
You know that moment when a baby holds onto a finger with their entire little hand?
That’s all of us in a nutshell throughout our whole life.
Love. We’re born with it, overflowing, excited to share it with everyone, starting with our parents.
Then one day we forget about it. We begin to look for it in others. And all along, it’s within us.
Love – the most universal human trait.
There are, of course, many traits that we share collectively. Like kindness, or empathy, or the ability to forgive and hope for a better tomorrow.
Think about the people you love the most or those you admire the most (or those you fear and respect the most).
What’s the biggest trait you have in common with them?
What’s the one trait you wish to focus on more?
Is there a trait you wish to practice less?
A good example is kindness. It always serves us well, until we realise we have not set the right boundaries. It’s all in the balance.
