When life gets busy, stressful and overwhelming, we donโ€™t need to wait until we collapse to take time off. In fact, we shouldnโ€™t think of taking time off as the solution to escaping the awful reality we are doomed to repeat every single day.

Lifeโ€™s meant to be a happy experience. Your life is no exception.

So if you find yourself going through tough days one after the other, itโ€™s very likely that you need a mindset reset. Finding your internal happy place is a great starting point!

โ€œThink of a place thatโ€™s perfect โ€“ your own happy placeโ€ (Happy Gilmore)

A happy place is somewhere you can go mentally or physically to boost your energy levels, so that you can come back to your reality recharged and with more appreciation for yourself and the present moment.

Think about this for a moment: Did you at some point in the past wish to have the life you are living right now? How often do you pause to reflect on all the blessings and good things that you have in your life today?

Gratitude helps us integrate the energy we connect to being in our imaginary happy place with the life we are experiencing in this very moment.

But a happy place doesnโ€™t have to live in your imagination only. You can find it out in the world or even build it yourself!

Your happy place is where you can be truly yourself, celebrate life and connect with the world around you. Often a happy place in the physical space is somewhere in nature or close to nature, which might explain why we feel better after going for a hike or spending the day by the sea (and why we start to feel unbalanced when we spend too much time in the city where thereโ€™s constant traffic, loud noises, lots of people and limited nature).
