Inspiration resides in you, but you must awaken it.

Sometimes the awakening process requires you to go to your favourite places in the world.

Other times it pushes you to explore unknown territories.

Every now and then life will introduce you to people who share the same frequency as you, so that they can trigger something in you that gives birth to the most brilliant ideas.

Whatever your intuition tells you to do next, trust it.

All the answers are within you. But it’s a matter of finding the right stimulation to get to them.

Yesterday’s solution to finding inspiration might not work today, and that’s okay.

Inspiration will find you when you find a way to flow with the universe – when you surrender to the present moment in full alignment with your thoughts and emotions.

What plays a huge role when it comes to inspiration? Intention.

Did you know that there are two distinctive definitions of the word “inspiration”?

  1. The process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.

  2. A sudden brilliant or timely idea.

So when you seek inspiration, be clear about what it is that you want to find or create.

In other words, set the right intention before you begin.

1. A STATE OF BEING INSPIRED

If you wish to be in a state of mind where you are inspired, then you’re seeking an identity shift that will allow you to view the situation from a different point of view, so that you can understand it on a deeper level.

For example, if you need to create a strategy for a new project, you must embody the kind of person that delivers a strategy. When you believe that you can create the strategy, your energy will attract the inspiration to you.

2. DELIVERING BIG IDEAS

If it’s a big, bold, life-changing idea that you’re after, then you need to give yourself the space for the idea to come to you.

Big ideas need big space.

In other words, the more you focus on the problem that you’re currently facing, the more you’re taking away from the space needed for the solution to arrive, because you’re reducing the whole picture to a single detail.

That’s why we say “Look at the big picture” when it comes to building solutions.

The “sudden brilliant” idea doesn’t come suddenly. It comes after a period of intentionally stepping away from the situation, so that you can see the whole picture with enough clarity to discover the idea within you.
