Surprise

The best way to welcome the unexpected is to become the creator of it!

What does that mean? Surprising someone is a great way to show them you appreciate them while simultaneously boosting your own serotonin levels.

According to the longest study on happiness, it is precisely good relationships that make us the happiest and give us the best chance at a life well-spent.

To quote Robert Waldinger: "People who are more socially connected to family, to friends, to community, are happier. They're physically happier, and they live longer than people who are less connected."

Your challenge today is to surprise someone you love.

For example, you can bring a flowers to a friend or simply show up at their place for a surprise visit! Think about ordering a special food delivery to your grandparents in person or FaceTime-ing a bestie who lives abroad. 

The aim of this exercise is to bring a sense of spontaneity into your routine, so that you make room for joy and laughter!
